Towards the end of Schafer Trail was a quite, still, pool of water left over from rains days before I met them. They were off in the distance from where I parked and needed a brief hike to be explored. This one was about 4 feet in diameter and reflected the landscape perfectly. In my travels I feel like I'm in "go mode", excitement to see everything! Sometimes in that excitement I need stillness to see what couldn't be seen, and reflect.

Exploring Moab! These views are unreal!
Bummed I had come home a couple days early. After the big snow that came through it wouldn't have been wise for me to do the 4x4 trails I had planned. I also wanted to head down to the White rim Road in Canyonlands but they had that close due to snow as well. I still was able to capture a lot of incredible photos and videos during my travels there last week and I'll be posting them over the next week or so.

Finally drove Schafer Trail! Incredible trail, incredible views! It's a well maintained road that was very easy to drive. You can do it in an SUV. Recommended 4x4 but I don't think you need it. Start on the Canyonland side. FYI - if you're scared of heights, it might be a tough one to drive.

First hike of 2026, Hieroglyphics Trail in the Superstition Mountains. After the rain there was so much contrast in the desert. One thing that kept sticking out was the raindrops that were on the vegetation. I had to do some macro photography before capturing some landscapes. The beauty of the Superstition Mountains never gets old. I hope you have an exciting, exceptional, plentiful, 2026 with lots of exploring the great outdoors mixed in throughout the year!
